Yesterday was Madison's 10 month birthday! And what did Madi get for her 10 month birthday? Only the best gift any 10 month old can get! Madi's Momma became an official stay at home Momma today!!! Yay!!! That means, no more excuses for not updating Madi's blog. That means more play dates, more walks, and going on lots and lots of shopping trips and adventures more often. It also means that Momma can give Madi 100% of her attention all the time. No more sharing time and attention between Madi and work and the work laptop and the work blackberry. No more taking conference calls with one hand while holding Madi with the other. No more putting conference calls on speaker phone in Madi's room while trying to give Madi boob at the same time, or changing an explosive poopy diaper. No more trying to answer emails, fix problems, answer the ringing phone all the while trying to feed Madi her breakfast, as she patiently sits in her high chair wondering why Momma keeps going back to her laptop... Ahh... Free at last!!! Anyway, enough about me and my new found happiness... Let's talk about Madi!!!
At 10 months, Madi seems like such the little girl already. She babbles and babbles and babbles as though she's having a full on conversation with us. And sometimes she babbles and babbles and babbles to herself, holding a conversation with herself (or her imaginary friends!). She tries so hard to say words correctly. Her latest "word" that she's been saying is "bah!" for "baby." It's soooo adorable. Whenever she sees a baby or a picture of a baby, she'll point to it and immediately say, "bah!"
Madi has become a social butterfly, waving hi and bye to everyone and anyone. She loves to clap her hands, especially when we say, "yay!!!!" She loves to bang her toys together and listen to the different sounds they make. She also LOVES dropping her toys over and over and over again and thinks its funny watching Mommy and Daddy pick them up off the floor over and over and over again.
At 10 months old, Madi has decided that hair clips are so yesterday. I'm so sad! She won't let me put the cute little flower clips or hair bows in her hair anymore! The minute I put them in, she immediately takes them off. :( BUT, for some reason, she lets me put her hair in a pony tail! Maybe it's because she can't really reach the top of her head to pull the hair tie out hahaha.
Madi is starting to get better at being mobile. She's finally learning how to move forward instead of backwards, and doesn't get quite as frustrated when she gets "stuck." Her next trick she's trying to perfect is the army crawl.
Oh Madi Cakes- you're growing up way too fast! Obviously, you're almost a toddler by age, but to actually see your personality and actions develop and unfold into this little girl, melts my heart. You are at such a fun age and Mommy and Daddy LOVES interacting with you. You know how to play games and you love to laugh your little heart out when you play them. You are such a smart and curious little booger. I wonder what trouble you're going to get yourself in next month!
