1st Day of Preschool!

Boy, oh boy! What an exciting day today! Today was Madison's 1st day of pre-preschool! :) And what I mean by "pre" preschool is that it's a parent-toddler preschool class, where a parent comes to preschool with their child. This class is suppose to help our little ones prepare for that one day in the very near future, when they independently step foot into preschool all by their grown-up self! It should help them get comfortable in a social and semi- structured setting, dividing their time between play time, song time, snack time, and craft time (and then play time again haha). Madi (and myself) had a blast today! It's a shame that it only meets one hour a day, once a week. It would be perfect if it met at least twice a week. Oh well... I guess Madi's Gymboree class, library story time, and playdates will have to fill the void during the school week. :)

Madi is so lucky to have her BFF, Abby, in the same class with her! Here they are playing around before "class" started.

The beginning of class is music/song time, where we're all suppose to sit in a circle and sing songs together. Madi stayed for a good 2 minutes before she took off. She decided this lounge area was much more fun to hang out in.

SNACK TIME! It was soooo cute to see all these little ones sitting at the little tables and little chairs, eating their yummy snacks on their little plates with their little hands.

Madi gobbled up her oranges, blueberries, and string cheese. She took one bite out of the muffin... STILL working on getting her to eat her bready type of foods...

After snack time, was play time/arts & craft time. Madi could have painted a school bus, but decided she wanted to run amuck instead of getting her hands dirty...

Outside play time!!!

I couldn't get Madi off the see saw. I guess she's a fan of teeter-tottering. :)

I'm sure that Madison is already looking forward to her preschool class next week! That was just TOO much fun! :)
