Strawberry Picking Day!

Last Sunday, Madi and her prince charming, Evan, went to the Carlsbad Strawberry fields to pick some delicious strawberries! Madi has been a strawberry eating machine lately, so I thought it'd be fun for the kids to experience finding and picking strawberries for themselves. They had a blast!

Madi was quite impressed with the rows and rows and rows of strawberries growing!

I had to teach her to pick only the cute, vibrant, unbruised, red strawberries. She was going for the little green ones because, "Look Mom! Ohhhh! It's a little tiny baby strawberry! It's soooo cute!"

Whoa! This is hard work! The rows of strawberries are narrow and muddy. There are soooo many strawberries to choose from! Here's one! In my bucket you go!

These kids melt my heart every time they are together!

Look at all of our strawberries we picked!

I love you Ma! (that's what Evan calls her).

Now that we're done picking strawberries, let's go pick some flowers!

Hey Ma! You're sniffin' the flowers too closely. You got a little flower pollen on your nose right there.

Where?
