Our little string bean of a baby has recently become a chunker! When Brandon was first born, he was average in weight, and an inch taller than what Madi was at when she was born. Unlike Madi, he had no fat rolls on him. Just long, chicken legs, with scrawny, wrinkly arms, and a face that I nicknamed "Sharpei" because he had wrinkles all over his forehead and under his eyes, just like a wrinkly sharpei dog. And then he ate and ate and ate and ate until his body started to fill out. The wrinkles (from extra skin) on his arms, legs, and face all started to puff up, and ta-da! We have ourselves a chunky, cuddly baby! Brandon, however, can NOT compare to the bowling ball of a baby that Madison was. She had endless fat rolls all over her puffy body up until she turned 1 year old. But the little man is growing a steady pace! :)
Here are Brandon's stats from his doctors visits:
BORN: July 3, 2013
WEIGHT: 7lbs 8oz
LENGTH: 20.5 inches
***************************************
2 DAY DOCTOR VISIT:
WEIGHT: 6lbs 14oz
LENGTH: 20.5 inches
***************************************
2 WEEK DOCTOR VISIT:
WEIGHT: 8lbs 1oz (62%)
LENGTH: 20.75 inches (34%)
HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE: 35 centimeters (14%)
So far it looks like our little man is gaining some good weight, may be a wee bit on the shorter side for boys right now, and may have a small head (unlike his daddy). :)
Brandon's next doctor's visit is when he turns 2 months old, which is next week. From the looks of it, he's chunking up in all the right places so far. I'm totally looking forward to seeing his stats next week and excited to see how much he's grown in the past few weeks. Oh, how these weeks have flown by!
