Our Annual Christmas Eve Family Party!

Woo hoo! I finally get to write about our Christmas Eve family party! Only a month late, but the Christmas season went by way too fast this past year, so why not extend the holiday spirit just a wee bit longer into January? :) One of these days, my blog will be caught up. Dang these kids for keeping me busy!

Anyway, Christmas Eve 2013 was a hot one! While people back East were dreaming of and living in a white Christmas, us spoiled folk in Southern California got to wear our tank tops, t-shirts and shorts and enjoyed a nice, warm, sunny day! The kids got in their bathing suits in the afternoon and took a splash in the pool as their pre-party fun!

As we were preparing for our big Korean BBQ feast for dinner, the kids got to do some Christmas crafts. Here they are hard at work:

This Christmas Eve was one not to forget. My brother ended up in the ER after walking into a hanging lamp. Doh! I think he ended up getting 5 stitches??? So unfortunately, he and my sis-in-law missed out on watching the kids' present opening fiasco!

The kids were so antsy and excited to open up presents after dinner. Here are some pictures of the kids and their goodies!

Whew! What a day! After the kids were fast asleep, I caught Santa placing Madi and Brandon's gifts under the Christmas tree. I'm sure they couldn't wait to wake up to open these goodies!
