A Day In The Life Of Our Madi Cakes and Baby Brandon: Strawberry Picking Day!

This past weekend, we headed out to Stehly Farms Organics for their seasonal open house. I definitely didn't want to miss this because (1) I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE their strawberries and (2) it's an ORGANIC farm! Most of you know, I'm a health nut and LOVE buying organic foods when needed (stay away from the dirty dozen!). There's an organic/natural grocery store by our house called Jimbo's that I frequent at least 3 - 4 times a week, and whenever they sell Stehly Farms' strawberries (or any other fruit or vegetable from this farm), I HAVE to buy them because the fruits and vegetables here are out of this world, delicious (and pesticide free!). Anyway, I won't get on my soap box about eating organic, non-GMO foods. I'll just share with you what a fun day we had at the farm, picking our own strawberries and just hanging out!

First off, it was a beautiful, warm and sunny weekend! We got to the farm, and we got a free bag of either navel oranges or Hass Avocados with our $6 parking/admission fee. Yum! We parked our car and walked on to the farm where they had a cute little playground for the kids, llamas, and mini horses!

And baby goats, and sheep, and a lone pig! :) Of course Madi had to pet the baby goats. :)

And of course, strawberry picking day wouldn't have been as fun or complete without... Evan!!! (In this picture, I told them to say cheese, and what do they do? Turn towards each other like they're about to kiss. Unfortunately, Evan's hat was in the way so I don't think their lips would have been able to reach each other haha).
