Happy 7 Month Birthday!

Happy 7 month birthday Madi Cakes! And what a day to celebrate! It's New Years Eve as well! You know what that means... PARTY!!!! :) Madi partied hard by going to bed at 7:30pm tonight (just like every night haha). That means Mommy and Daddy can have a glass of wine and watch the ball drop in New York City now! Woo-hoo! hehehe. (Update: Mommy and Daddy didn't even make it to midnight to celebrate the New Year. Wow. Are we THAT old?)

Madi Cakes, we can't believe how fast you're growing up. I know, we say that every week, but each month flies by so quickly, we can hardly catch our breath. In the last month, you've accomplished so much in so little time! You're a roll-over champ, rolling over in both directions from right to left and left to right and from belly on to back and back on to belly. You're sitting up on your own in short periods of time (because you find that falling backwards is SO much more fun, especially with a big, fluffy pillow lying behind you), you LOVE to eat your solids (and avocados are still your most favorite), you think drinking water or (boob) milk out of a cup is the best thing ever, you're holding and drinking out of your sippy cup really well now, even though you suck up the water and spit it out instead of swallowing it, you're starting to talk a whole lot and say words (if da-da-da-da-da means anything), and you're getting stronger and stronger pushing yourself up with your arms, preparing yourself for that crawl.

You're becoming a big girl! Your first tooth poked out a few days ago (goodbye gummy smile!). Santa Claus brought you your first tooth and it looks like the New Year is bringing in your second bottom tooth. How cute! We can't wait to see that big old smile of yours filled with a pair of little teeth smiling back at us.

Mommy and Daddy are looking forward to next month. You're currently working on getting yourself to crawl, and standing up. I'm not sure how successful the standing up part will be, seeing that your legs are SOOO active, they constantly want to bounce up and down, I don't know if your legs will ever be still enough to want to stand up hahaha. By next month, your food intake is going to be quite impressive, Mommy can't wait to cook you up some yummier foods to taste, and incorporate yummy spices and fresh herbs, such as cinnamon, mint and basil. Totally looking forward to all that you will accomplish next month Madi Cakes!

Mommy and Daddy love you very very much and still can't believe what an amazing, super funny, and heart-breakingly adorable you are. Your personality is a killer and it blows our minds every second of the day, how interactive, responsive, and aware you've become. We ask ourselves every day how on Earth we made such a beautiful baby that makes us laugh and fill our hearts with so much love. We are blessed to have you, Madi Cakes! xoxo
