Madison finally realized this past week that her hands are hers! They're a part of her body and she can actually grab things with them if she wants! Of course, her coordination with them still needs some work, but it's been totally cute watching her look and inspect her hands as if they are foreign objects. She'll put her hands out in front of her face, stare at them, and open and close her hands, with her undivided attention.
She's been good at grabbing things unintentionally, but lately, she's been wanting to grab things at her own will.
Here is Madi on her play mat, totally concentrating on grabbing the ring from the hanging penguin...
She worked SO hard on getting it right that she's now a pro at grabbing the ring from the hanging penguin! Look! She doesn't even have to look at it anymore. What a grabbing expert! haha
